Prime Gutter Experts Lifetime Workmanship Warranty

  1. Warranty Coverage
    Prime Gutter Experts warrants that all labor related to the installation of gutters and gutter protection using ONE Gutter Guards is free from defects in workmanship for the lifetime of the installation (“Warranty Period”). If, during the Warranty Period, a defect in workmanship is identified, Prime Gutter Experts will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the affected portion of the installation without charge to the original purchaser, subject to the conditions set forth herein.
  2. Exclusions from Warranty
    This warranty is limited solely to defects in workmanship and does not cover:
  • Acts of Nature: Damage resulting from environmental events such as hail, wind, heavy snow, ice accumulation, flooding, or other natural phenomena.
  • Accidental or External Damage: Damage due to impacts, vandalism, accidents, or other external forces beyond the control of Prime Gutter Experts.
  • Unauthorized Alterations or Repairs: Damage or issues arising from modifications, repairs, or alterations made by parties other than Prime Gutter Experts.
  • Improper Use: Use of the installed product in a manner not intended or recommended by Prime Gutter Experts.
  • Pre-Existing or Unrelated Issues: Conditions or failures resulting from pre-existing issues with the property, structural deficiencies, or other factors not related to the original installation workmanship.
  • Cosmetic Issues: Minor aesthetic imperfections that do not affect the functionality of the gutters or gutter guards.
  • Improper Maintenance: Failures or damage caused by the homeowner’s neglect, lack of routine cleaning, or improper maintenance practices.
  1. Claim Process
    To request warranty service, the owner must provide written notice to Prime Gutter Experts within 30 days of discovering the alleged defect. Upon receipt of such notice, Prime Gutter Experts reserves the right to inspect the installation. If the defect is determined to be a result of workmanship and not excluded by this warranty, Prime Gutter Experts will perform the necessary repair or replacement. If the defect is due to an excluded cause, no warranty service will be provided.
  2. Limitations of Liability
    This warranty is exclusively for the repair or replacement of defective workmanship and does not extend to incidental or consequential damages. Prime Gutter Experts’ total liability under this warranty shall be limited to the cost of repair or replacement as determined by Prime Gutter Experts.
  3. Transferability
    This warranty is provided only to the original purchaser of the installation and is non-transferable unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Prime Gutter Experts.
  4. Governing Law
    This warranty shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the installation was performed. Any disputes arising from this warranty shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
  5. Disclaimer
    Except for the express warranties stated above, Prime Gutter Experts disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This warranty provides specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

  • The warranty is transferable with the property at no extra cost.
  • Registration of the warranty is not required.

Warranty Coverage

Prime Gutter Experts guarantees that the products installed on your property are free from manufacturing defects and workmanship flaws. Additionally, we ensure that the finish will remain intact without chipping, peeling, flaking, or blistering under normal use, provided the installation complies with local building codes and accepted industry practices. This warranty is subject to the terms, exclusions, and limitations outlined below.

Duration of Warranty

  • For Individually Owned Properties: The warranty lasts for as long as you own the property.
  • For Commercial or Multi-Owner Properties: The warranty is valid for 50 years from the original installation date, with coverage prorated as detailed in the Warranty Coverage Schedule below.
  • On Transfer: When the property changes hands, the warranty remains in effect up to 50 years from the installation date, prorated accordingly.

Our Commitment to You

To make a warranty claim, you must notify Prime Gutter Experts following the procedures outlined below. Please note that if access for inspection is denied, the warranty may be voided. Once your claim is verified, PGE will repair, replace, or refund the original purchase price (including installation labor) for the defective portion of the product. Any expenses beyond this scope will be the responsibility of the property owner. In cases where repairs or replacements are made, the remaining original warranty period will apply to the affected areas. Prime Gutter Experts will also determine a reasonable labor cost for any necessary work.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Defects like buckling or rippling not caused by manufacturing issues.
  • Problems arising from contact with incompatible materials or exposure to corrosive elements (such as salt spray).
  • Damage from temperature extremes during field forming.
  • Natural color changes or weathering (chalking, fading, staining) that occur over time.
  • Accidental damage, structural settlement, or distortions in the property’s construction.
  • Damage caused by fire, lightning, hurricanes, tornadoes, windstorms, earthquakes, hail, ice, or other natural disasters.
  • Harmful chemicals including aggressive cleaning agents, herbicides, fertilizers, or pesticides.
  • Environmental degradation due to air pollution or proximity to saltwater.
  • Misuse, abuse, or vandalism (e.g., high-pressure washing).
  • Naturally occurring phenomena like tiger striping or uneven atmospheric soil deposition.
  • Damage resulting from a lack of proper maintenance as specified in our care instructions.
  • Damage from impact with foreign objects.
  • Warping or distortion from excessive heat sources (e.g., barbecue grills or strong reflective surfaces).
  • Any alterations to the product (such as repainting or unauthorized repairs) that affect the finish.
  • Any damage beyond the reasonable control of Prime Gutter Experts.

Additional Provisions

  1. This warranty applies only to genuine Prime Gutter Experts products. It is the owner’s responsibility to confirm product authenticity.
  2. The gutter coil is designed exclusively for gutter systems and should not be repurposed as roofing material or for decorative metal protection.
  3. Replacement products may exhibit natural variations in finish and color.
  4. Prime Gutter Experts reserves the right to update or change product designs or colors at any time without prior notice. When an original product is no longer available, an acceptable substitute will be provided at our discretion.
  5. This Limited Lifetime Warranty is the sole warranty provided by Prime Gutter Experts and replaces any other verbal or written guarantees.
  6. Prime Gutter Experts is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from warranty claims.
  7. This warranty confers specific legal rights, which may vary by state; some states do not allow exclusions or limitations on incidental or consequential damages.

Glossary:

  • Coverage: The scope of PGE’s responsibility to remedy any claims related to the installed product.
  • First-Time Transferee: The first new owner who receives the property with the warranty intact after the original installation.
  • Purchase Price: The combined cost of the product and the original installation labor. If these amounts are unknown, they will be estimated based on prevailing market prices and local labor rates.
  • Residence: A property used as a permanent dwelling by a single family.
  • Weathering: The natural aging process of the product due to exposure to environmental conditions.
  • Uneven Weathering: Non-uniform color changes (such as tiger striping) occurring despite consistent environmental exposure.

Installation Best Practices

Prime Gutter Experts products are engineered for optimal performance when installed by our qualified professionals. Any adjustments or alterations should be coordinated with the us or a trusted contractor. Note that direct contact with dissimilar materials (e.g., copper, zinc, steel, concrete, stucco, or roofing elements) may lead to corrosion. Proper installation is essential to ensure longevity.

How to File a Warranty Claim

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact the Prime Gutter Experts warranty department at [info@primegutterexperts.com]. All required samples or evidence should be provided at the property owner’s expense. A nominal fee (e.g., $25) may be charged for returning samples if requested. Any repairs made without written authorization from Prime Gutter Experts will void the warranty.

Warranty Coverage Schedule

The following schedule specifies the percentage of the original purchase price that Prime Gutter Experts will cover for defects, based on the time elapsed since the original installation. For properties not individually owned, a 50-year prorated warranty applies.

Care & Maintenance Guidelines

Prime Gutter Experts’ Aluminum Gutter Coil and Gutter System products are built for durability in residential settings. Under normal conditions, rainfall is usually sufficient to keep them clean. When cleaning is necessary, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  1. Light Soil Accumulation:
    Rinse with a garden hose using a soft-bristled brush. Avoid high-pressure sprays to prevent surface damage.
  2. Heavy Dirt:
    Use a solution of 1/3 cup mild detergent, 2/3 cup trisodium phosphate, and 1 gallon of water.
  3. Mildew Removal:
    For mildew (which may appear as dark spots), use the above solution with the addition of 1 quart of a 5% sodium hypochlorite solution mixed with 3 quarts of water.
  4. Removing Adhesives or Tar:
    Apply a small amount of mineral spirits to the area, then rinse thoroughly with water. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and test any cleaning method on a small, inconspicuous area first.

20 Year Performance Warranty

Universal Manufacturing & Design (“UMD”) provides a 20-YEAR PERFORMANCE WARRANTY, which guarantees that ONE Gutter Guard™ will keep the interior of your gutters from clogging if installed to our factory specifications, and we substantiate this with a money back guarantee. UMD will, at its sole discretion, either replace any failing area of the ONE Gutter Guard™ system with a new or reconditioned insert that returns the guard to its original operational standard; or refund you 100% of the ONE Gutter Guard™ product material cost. Labor and/or installer shipping costs not included.

Lifetime Material Warranty

UMD provides a LIFETIME MATERIAL DEFECTS WARRANTY for the ONE Gutter Guard™ . All products will be free from factory material defects that occur during the manufacturing process. If a product is found to have a manufacturer defect, UMD will repair or replace the defective part(s) at no charge. We guarantee that the finished product will not chip, bubble or flake under normal conditions of wear. Our warranty is limited to the terms, exclusions, limitations, requirements and legal rights stated within this warranty.

Transferable Warranty

In the event you sell your home, the balance of the warranty will transfer to the new owner. Change of Ownership forms can be obtained by contacting our corporate headquarters.

Exclusions and Limitations

The above-mentioned warranties are void if any of the following apply:

• Damage caused to product from any outside force, natural or accidental
• Performance failures due to improper installation
• Damage during installation
• Natural wear caused by weather or other unique environmental conditions
• Damage caused by chemicals
• Improper use of product other than that intended by manufacturer
• Removal of product
• Contact with dissimilar materials
• Insert clogging due to unnatural occurrences, including but not limited to, tampering with, or introducing a foreign element to the mesh, such as paint, caulk, adhesive, etc
